Universal Gets Hill & 'Best'

Jonah Hill and Universal are developing quite the relationship. Hill co-starred in the Judd Apatow film Funny People, just finished shooting "Get Him to the Greek" a spin-off comedy based off Forgetting Sarah Marshall, he is developing a adventure comedy with Jason Segel and Jason Schwartzman called "The Adventureer's Handbook" and now has another project to add to the list of work over at Universal. Yesterday, Variety reported that funnyman Jonah Hill will be producing and starring in a romantic comedy titled, "The Best Thing About Pam Rooney". For more details of Hill's latest project read on...

"The Best Thing About Pan Rooney" is described as a "high-concept" romantic comedy. The film is yet to be scripted, however Universal has tapped Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O'Brien to pen the script for Hill to star. Cohen has served as associate director on both The 40 Year Old Virgin and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby while O'Brien co-produced this year's Funny People.

Universal has made a nice stock pile of talent from their relationship with Judd Apatow. Jonah Hill is just another person to come out of the Apatow farm who is now beginning to find his own glory at Universal. I generally like Hill's comedy and he his usually good for one or two side-splitting jokes in every film he appears, so I am excited to see what brews from this growing relationship Hill and Universal have.

What say you? Jonah Hill in a high-concept romantic comedy get your interest flowing? Strikeback...
