Sony Prepping White Chicks 2

There has to be someone out there that will be excited about this news, but it is definitely not me! The Wayans brothers have decided to go back to the well and beginning working on a sequel to the 2004 "comedy" White Chicks. THR reports that Sony has agreed to finance a second film where two black FBI agents pose as white women in order to solve a case. Marlon and Shawn Wayans are set to return as Kevin and Marcus Copeland as well as Keenen Ivory Wayans returning to direct the sequel.

The first White Chicks made close to $70 million domestically so it's not a shock that a sequel has been green lit. I thought it had a couple moments of funny, but nothing that warrants a sequel. It just goes to show that out of all those Wayans there is not much creativity and with no fresh ideas or movies to mock, they just decided to go back to the only movie that has made them any money of note recently. I think you get the picture, I just can't say that I am interested or excited by this news in any way. Regretfully more news on "White Chicks 2" as it develops...
