I am pleased to have the first trailer for Werner Herzog's "My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done" here for you below. It is a film I have been generally excited for sometime now. Originally planned to begin production in 2008, the film was postponed so Herzog could film "Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans". So if your good at math and a fan of Herzog, you should have figured out that we have (what looks to be) two great Herzog films releasing in the same year!
"My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done" is written and directed by Werner Herzog, produced by David Lynch and stars a trio of amazing stars including; Michael Shannon, Willem Dafoe and Chloe Sevigny. The film is loosely based off Mark Yarovsky, a graduate student at UCSD who killed his mother with an antique sword while acting out Sophocles' Orestes. "My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done" does not have a official relase date set as of yet, but will premeire next month at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival. Check out the amazing trailer below...
