Rambo fans all hoped this announcement would finally come and over the weekend news broke that the fifth film will begin production next Spring! Sylvester Stallone will once again direct and star for Nu Image/Millennium Films in the foruth sequel to the original 1985 Rambo: First Blood. To read the full details see below...
Those of you who haven't seen 2008's Rambo, the following paragraph contains minor spoilers. At the end of the last Rambo, we saw John return to the U.S., so it will come as no surprise to learn that the fifth Rambo will be set in America. The story will follow John Rambo "fighting his way through human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a young girl abducted near the U.S.-Mexico border." A long list of producers for the film include; Avi Lerner, Kevin King Templeton, John Thompson, Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short and Boaz Davidson.
Stallone taking full control of all his recent films has been a very good thing. His work on Rocky Balboa and 2008's Rambo lived up to the hype and his most recent film "The Expenables" looks incredible. I love the Sly is back making old his old titles in fresh ways, while still keeping the original tone to the series and couldn't be happier that official word has come on "Rambo V". More news on a fifth Rambo movie as it develops...
