Woodey Harrelson is one of those actors I follow with open arms. I will watch anything the guy does and generally I enjoy at the very least, his performance. One of Harrelson's indie films that I have been interested in since hearing of the concept was "Defendor". Today thanks to the always insightful Slash Film, we have a bunch of new photos from the new mundane superhero dramedy.
"Defendor" is Peter Stebbings first directorial effort and his second screenplay. The official synopsis reads: A crooked cop, a mob boss and the young girl they abuse are the denizens of a city's criminal underworld. It's a world that ordinary Arthur Poppington doesn't understand and doesn't belong in, but is committed to fighting when he changes into a vigilante super-hero of his own making, Defendor. With no power other than courage Defendor takes to the streets to protect the city's innocents. "Defendor" stars Woody Harrelson as Arthur Poppington, Kat Dennings, Elias Koteas and Sandra Oh. The film is set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September, but does not have a release date set.
