Universal-Rogue Developing Strangers 2!!

Universal-Rogue are in development to bring back Bryan Bertino to continue the Strangers story! Bertino will begin developing the sequel ASAP for Universal-Rogue with production set to start in early 2009. It has yet to be determined if Bertino will direct the sequel, but will be definatley writing and developing it.

The Strangers is one of my favorite films of 2008 and really broke the current mold in horror movies. While everyone else is still trying to shock us with splatter-gore horror, Bertino masterfully brought back the jump-scare genre with the surprise hit! (You can read my full Strangers review here) You haven't seen The Strangers yet, make sure you do, even if your not a fan of horror, you will enjoy it. The film was made on a bdget of only $9 million and grossed over $54 million here in the U.S. Without trying to give away any spoilers, Variety is reporting that, one of the leads in the film is in talks to return (if you've seen it, you know who it is) and the villains will of course be returning.
