Bonham Carter is a Bad Girl!

Helena Bonham Carter, Tim Burton's better half, is playing Serena in McG's Terminator Salvation and she told SCI FI Wire, that she is a "definate a baddie" in the newst to the Terminator franchise! "I kind of play a baddie, definitely a baddie," Bonham Carter said in an interview while promoting her new film, the comedy-drama Sixty Six. "I don't know how much I'm allowed to say, but I'm a very bad person." Helena Bonham Carter replaced Tilda Swinton at the last possible moment, and will shoot her footage for the film a total of 10 days, which is already currently filming in New Mexico. Boham Carter adds to an already impressive cast of Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Moon Bloodgood, and Bryce Dallas Howard.

When asked why she chose the project Bonham said, "Tim would have killed me if I hadn't done it, because he's such a Terminator fan...I've never been in this kind of big popcorn action movie, a male one, an action one." Terminator Salvation opens May 22nd, 2009!

In related Terminator news, Arnold Schwarzenegger told the Los Angeles Times, he is confused by the released footage to the newst film in the franchise. "I still don't know how it will play out with this one....They showed me some footage, but I don't have a feel for the movie. I didn't see enough. I wasn't sure who the Terminator was. I don't know if there is one or if he's the star or the hero. These are the things that determine the success and how the strong the movie will be." The OG terminator went on to say, "I've seen very little footage so I don't really have a feel for it. I hope they do well, and I hope it is a huge hit. I do hope it creates a spectacle on the screen. That is what James Cameron created." The govenator definately was careful in his comments on the film, but put a lot of efforting into saying there are certain expectations to live up to with big franchises. "With Batman and Terminator, those big movies, there's a certain expectation and if you don't live up to it, if the movie is not a 10, then the business will be soft," the governor said. "If ['Salvation'] is pushing it forward, it will be breaking records all the time. If [director McG] has the T4 and the kind of shots that has the audience thinking, 'Now how did he do that?' -- then it is 'Terminator' and you can blow everyone away and every record at the box office." (Anyone else getting the notion Schwarzenegger is missing the biz?)

Thoughts on Helena Bonham Carter in Terminator Salvation? Isn't she always a baddie? You think Arnie misses making movies? Will he stay in political sphere or come back to Hollywood?
