Slash Film got there hands on some sweet photos from Darren Aronofsky's newest film starring Mickey Rourke called "The Wrestler," and I got them here for you to gander at! Being a huge fan of classic WWF wrestling, this film looks to be awesome! The official synopsis reads, "The wrestler is the story of retired professional wrestler, Randy "The Ram" Robinson, making his way through the independent circuit, trying to get back in the game for one final showdown with his former rival." So it does sound alot like Rocky Balboa, with the one final go-round theme, but Aronofsky is an amazing director and Rourke under the right direction (Darren) can be flawless! The Wrestler was written by Robert D. Siegel, co-stars Evan Rachel Wood and Marsia Tomei, and has yet to recieve a release date. The film will be at the Toronto Film Festival next month.
