Trailer: Red Cliff

Today I have finally got around to posting the trailer for John Woo's "Red Cliff". I have been a little reluctant to post the trailer because I am not so sure I like what has happened to the film in order for it to release here in the States. "Red Cliff" was originally a two part film that totaled 4 hours of cinema. The epic story chronicled the Battle of Red Cliffs and the ending point to the Han Dynasty. Magnet has added "Red Cliff" to it's second year of their 6-Shooter Film Series and in doing so, the version that will be released here is only one film. The version that will be released here is 2½ hour film. Despite the film being cut into only one film I still highly recommending seeing this film (although I strongly recommend you seek out both Part I and II also). It is one of Woo's best work to date. That said, the released trailer is stunning. I love this film utterly. The battle sequences are amazing and the story is compelling from every angle. Although, I believe with the amount of time being cut from the original two parts, a lot of the heart will be taken from the film leaving the U.S. release of "Red Cliff" to just be an eye popping action. "Red Cliff" is slated for a November 20th release and will premiere before that On Demand via your cable provider. Checkout the full length trailer below...
