Slew of 'A-Team' Set Stills

Something I have been following pretty closely in Joe Carnahan's adaption of the classic 80's television show The A-Team. The film has recently began filming and now some our first set stills have begun to leak out of the new action film. The original television series was a campy action series which followed four Vietnam veterans who are framed and try to prove their innocence while also becoming mercenaries for good. The Joe Carnahan update will be a less campy rendition that will focus on action. I'm sure based off Carnahan's previous work the film will still have an offbeat comedic value, but nothing like the original series. The mercenaries will be updated to Iraq veterans, but the same concept of them being framed is intact. The original starred George Peppard, Mr. T, Dirk Benedict and Dwight Schultz as the soldiers of fortune while the update has Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley and Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson teaming up.

I'm pretty excited for this movie finally being made and very curious to see how the cast and Carnahan measure up in the final product. I was a huge fan of the original series as a kid and Carnahan's Smokin' Aces was a perfect setup to prove he can do something spectacular with "The A-Team". The cast is also pretty damn strong and as you'll see in the set images below, they look the parts too. Liam Neeson is a perfect Hannibal, as is Bradley Cooper as Faceman. I loved Sharlto Copley in District 9 and am really intrigued to see him play Howling Mad Murdock, who just so happened to be my favorite character from the original series. Quinton Jackson on the other hand, is a huge question mark in my eyes. As reported last month, Jessica Biel and Patrick Wilson are also cast in the film for 20th Century Fox. "The A-Team" is set for a June 11, 2010 release. More details is sure to follow on "The A-Team" as it develops and checkout the new set stills of the cast below...
