Trailer: The Book of Eli

In all the scuttle that has been since Comic Con quite a few stories have been glazed over or missed entirely here at Schofizzy Movie Review. Today I remembered I have yet to post "The Book of Eli" trailer, which is absolautely impressive, so I have it here for you below. The film does not release until January 15th of 2010,...

Incredible Thundercats Art!

No news on a "Thundercats" movie has been circulating for quite sometime now, but that all changed last night when Movieline premiered some concept art from director Jerry O’Flaherty. The said concept art is brilliant and really increases my anticipation of this film. To read more about the progress on a "Thundercats" film and see the concept art scroll down..."Thundercats" was first announced by Warner Brothers way back in 2007, but has since been...

Trailer: A Perfect Getaway

I am all for escapist fun at the movies and next weeks release from Rogue Pictures "A Perfect Getaway" looks like a quality ride. There is no doubt that the film, looks like a hodge-podge of other similar films like The River Wild, but that said its still gives the impression of a exilhirating experience. The cast is pretty strong with Timothy Olyphant, Milla Jovovich and Steve Zahn in the leads, but I am more excited to see a bit more of Chris...

Trailer: Ninja Assassin

Back at Comic Con a new poster premiered for James McTeigue's "Ninja Assassin" which looks absolutely incredible. Fan reaction was very positive from the screening held thursday night at Con, so I thought it a good time to revisit the trailer and the poster released at Comic Con. "Ninja Assassin" stars Rain as Raizo, one of the world's most deadly assassins. When he is double-crossed by his own clan, Raizo enacts a deadly plan of revenge on the...

'Captain Blood' in Space!?!

Peter and Michael Spierig are looking to shake things up a bit over at Warner Brothers. The twin brothers will be directing an update of the 1935 pirate classic Captain Blood, except they have a very interesting idea on how to do it. They intend on taking the story of a wrongly imprisoned doctor who escapes to become a pirate into space! My intial thought here was the 1984 film Ice Pirates which is amusing, but nowehere near what the Spierig twins...

Jon Spaihts will pen the prequel for 20th Century Fox with Scott Free producing and Scott attached to direct. The plan is begin lensing...

'Eclipse' Casting Catastrophe

A few days back news broke that Twilight and "New Moon" vamp Rachelle Lefevre would not be returning to the role of Victoria for the third installment of the films. Summit Entertainment announced Tuesday that actress Bryce Dallas Howard would replace Lefevre in the third film "Eclipse" being directed by David Slade. The announcemnt came as shock to both Twilight fans and the media, knowing that the character of Victoria would become far more prominent...

Volturi 'New Moon' Roster

"The Twilight Saga: New Moon" release is closing in and today some images of the Volturi have found their way on to the net. I noticed the images at Latino Review who had found them over at Oh No They Didn't and as Latino Review stressed the images are pretty cool in design. I am not a raving Twilight fan, but I did enjoy the first film and looking forward to further films in the Twilight Saga. The released image shows five members of the Volturi...

Trailer: A Serious Man

The Coen brothers are hands down my favorite directors working today. These two have delivered nothing but hits all the way from Blood Simple to Burn After Reading. Every single film the brothers Coen have created I cherish and hold dear to my heart. They can do no wrong and have numerous times created films that soon find themselves being watched routinely in my household. Last night Apple premiered the first trailer for the Coen's latest dark...

A dark comedy that follows Lance Clayton, a writer who has never published anything and father of a perverted foul-mouthed teenager who wants nothing to do with his dad. His poetry class is threatend of closure with very low student registration and his affections for a co-worker go un-matched, when she won't allow their relationship to be brought public. Daft Punk's Tron Legacy Theme

Last thursday in the Disney 3-D panel during the "TRON LEGACY" portion of the panel director Joseph Kosinski told us that Daft Punk had already written 24 new tracks for the film. As we saw in Peter Jackson's 2005 version of King Kong, Skull Island inhabited other...

'The Town' Finds A Mad Man

Ahh Ben Affleck, Schofizzy has a special place in his heart for Affleck. Ever since I saw him in Dazed and Confused as Fred O'Bannion, looking to whoop some freshman ass, there hasn't been a film I did not enjoy simply based on the fact Ben Affleck was in it. Yes even the stinkers, like Phantoms, Forces of Nature, Surviving Christmas and the mother of all Gigli. Obvisouly not everyone feels the same as Schofizzy about Affleck, and that's okay. Ben...

Luckily, the Konami property has taken a step in the right direction by landing Saw creator James Wan to direct "Castlevania" for Crystal Sky productions. Read more about "Castlevania"...

New 'NIMH' in Development

One of my favorite cartoons as a kid was The Secret of NIMH, I would watch the movie endlessly along with a few other titles, but NIMH always remained with a very special place in my heart. Maybe it was the single mother desperately trying to protect her children, or perhaps a number of other things, but I loved that film through and through. Today comes news via THR that Paramount is developing a new feature film based off Robert C. O'Brien's childrens...

More 'Prince of Persia' Stills

Empire Online premiered 4 new images from Disney's "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time" adaptation being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Two of the new images show us a bit more action from Dastan played by Jake Gyllenhall and Princess Tamina played by Gemma Arterton, while the other two are more behind the scenes shots of Bruckheimer looking on. Despite this being a huge budget film, I still remain very skeptical about how well this game will adapt...

Variety reports that the expecting father road trip comedy has landed Iron Man himself Robert Downey Jr. to the play the husband racing across the country to make the birth of his first child. Regardless of the fact that "Due Date" sounds like a pretty generic...
