Today we are treated to our first taste of what to expect from Wes Anderson's latest stop-motion film "Fantastic Mr. Fox" based off Ronald Dahl's book of the same name. The image premiered on JoBlo this morning featuring Mr. Fox voiced by George Clooney, Mrs. Fox voiced by Meryl Streep and Badger played by Bill Murray and is a definate throwback to animation used in late 70's. "Fantastic Mr. Fox" is slated to release November 13th through Fox.
Personally, I love the look to the image released and am really looking forward to something apart from the traditional Wes Anderson film. Back in November of 2007 Anderson told Rotten Tomatoes they recorded the voice work outside of a traditional recording studio and instead opted for a stable, forset and every underground settings to create enthusiasm among the cast. The story follows Mr. Fox, who in order to feed his family, steals food from three nasty farmers. The farmers, in return try everything they can to rid themselves of the Fox family, leaving the Fox's trying to find away to outsmart the three farmers in order to stay alive. "Fantastic Mr. Fox" also has the voice talents of Willem Dafoe, Jarvis Cocker, and few other Anderson favorites including Jason Schwartzman, Angelica Huston and Owen Wilson. Checkout Mr. Fox below....What say you? Do you like the look of Mr. Fox? Will you be seeing this in theaters? Strikeback...
