WB Pushes Whiteout to September 2009

Warner Brothers has decided to push back the Dominica San directed film starring Kate Beckingsale "Whiteout" to September 2009. This film has been promoted as early as Comic Con 2007 and looks great, but despite the positive buzz, Warner Bros. has moved the feature film.

Some sites had reported that the film would be recieving a a July release, but instead the film starring Kate Beckingsale, Gabriel Macht, Tom Skerritt, Columbus Short and Alex O'Loughlin will release September 11th 2009. The film follows Carrie Stetko (Kate Beckingsale) a U.S. Marshal, who is tracking a brutal killer in Antarctica trying desperately to find him before the sun sets on the continent and is in darkness for the next six months. The footage and info given at last years Comic Con was very positive and I have been very disappointed to see the film be stuck in release hell. Hopefully the date sticks because the film looks like it will be pretty damn good. Checkout the two posters for the film and some stills from the film below.
