Back in September I did a story on one of George Clooney's newest projects "Men Who Stare at Goats" and this week comes our first look at Clooney himself dressed in the military garb for the film. The photos come courtesy of Just Jared. In the film based on the 2004 book of the same name Clooney plays Lyn Cassady, who claims to be a former secret U.S. military psychic soldier who was reactivated post-Sept. 11. The film is shooting on location in Albuquerque New Mexico. Men Who Stare at Goats also stars Ewan McGregor, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Spacey and Robert Patrick.
The official synopsis for "Men Who Stare at Goats" goes as follows, "In 1979 a secret unit was established by the most gifted minds within the US Army. Defying all known accepted military practice - and indeed, the laws of physics - they believed that a soldier could adopt the cloak of invisibility, pass cleanly through walls and, perhaps most chillingly, kill goats just by staring at them. Entrusted with defending America from all known adversaries, they were the First Earth Battalion. And they really weren't joking. What's more, they're back and fighting the War on Terror. 'The men who stare at goats' reveals extraordinary - and very nutty - national secrets at the core of George W Bush's War on Terror."

Thoughts on Clooney as Lyn Cassady? How bout that stach? Men Who Stare at Goats has enormous potenial. Strikeback...
