First Look: Kevin Smith's Batman Comic

Writer/director Kevin Smith has been working on a new 3-Part Series for DC Comics of Batman. His first stab at Batman, but not at comics (Smith has worked on Daredevil, Green Arrow and Spider-Man amoing others) is called "Batman: Cacophony" and will feature a Smith created villain Onomatopoeia and a few other Batman regulars Joker, Deadshot and Victor Zsasz. The comic is written by Smith and is illustrated by Smith's long-time friend Walt Flanagan. Flanagan has been referenced and featured in most of Smith's films including a great quote from Jay in Mallrats, "Damn, that bastard's faster than Walt Flanagan's dog!" Batman: Cacophony first issue will release November 12th, but before that I got the first look at the cover art and the opening five pages below for you courtesy of Kevin Smith's official MySpace blog. Checkout the sneek peek below....

What are your thoughts on Smith's Batman comic? Will you be picking up a copy? All of Smith's takes on famous comic characters from both Marvel and DC have kicked ass, so Batman: Cacophony should be outstanding!
