Affleck & Alba Find the Killer Inside Them

THR reports Academy Award Nominee Casey Affleck has signed to star alongside Jessica Alba in "The Killer Inside Me." The film is an adaptation of Jim Thompson novel of the same name that follows a West Texas sheriff and his downward spiral from a boring small-town cop into a ruthless, sociopathic murderer. Along the way the sheriff obsesses over a local prostitute who may become one of his victims. Affleck will play the sheriif, while Alba will play the prostitute with Michael Winterbottom directing.

This film should play to Casey Affleck's strengths, who is an outstanding actor that can excel in a character like Lou Ford, the sheriff created in the Thompson noir novel. Affleck has proven he has an Oscar in him after such phenominal performances in his strongest films The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and Gone Baby Gone. Jessica Alba on the otherhand, isn't much of an actress, but should do fine serving as a prostitute in the film.
