Sam Jackson Narrates Basterds!

Inglourious Basterds is currently filming and we have the addition of two more cast members. Samuel Jackson and Maggie Cheung have joined the Quentin Tarantino WWII film. Jackson who has collaborated with QT before on Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown and Kill Bill Volume 2. Maggie Cheung who is a long time asian actress will be in her first Tarantino role.

Samuel L. Jackson will not be an actual character in Inglourious Basterds. Sam Jackson will only be narrating the film. Eventhough we will not be seeing Jackson on screen, his voice will be a nice addition to the film.

Maggie Cheung will be playing Madame Mimieux, the French matron of the Cinematheque that takes in the protagonist Shosanna (Melanie Laurent) when she is homeless and being sought by the Nazis. You might be scratching your head right now, saying isn't Cheung chinese and isn't the character french? Yes and yes. Clearly some script adjustments will be made, however Maggie Cheung is fluent in French.

Thoughts on Samuel L. Jackson narrating Inglourious Basterds? Will QT's WWII epic be a new masterpiece? Strikeback....
