No More Beast for 'Rambo 5'

Are you one of the many that was ecstatic about seeing John Rambo hunting down a feral beast? Well, unfortunately it looks like that won't be happening, at least not in the form of Rambo. For all the details follow the break...

It appears that Sylvester Stallone has changed his mind about making "Rambo V: The Savage Hunt ". Stallone told Stallonezone that things have changed. He said, "I’m letting you know that Rambo has changed course and the story about hunting the man/beast will be done using another character in the lead. RAMBO himself will be heading over the border to a violent city where many young women have vanished." Stallone explained that while 'The Savage Hunt' isn't completely scrapped, it won't be Rambo hunting it.

Stallone did say that the 'Rambo V' will now shift back to Rambo heading across the border. Which leads me to believe Stallone will use an original plot detailed back in August . A plot that would follow John Rambo "fighting his way through human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a young girl abducted near the U.S.-Mexico border." While I was pretty excited to see John Rambo fight and hunting a beast, the idea just did not feel right for the character of Rambo, while the human trafficking story seems like a better fit for Rambo.

There have been quite a few rumblings that Stallone is toying with resurrecting his character from Cliffhanger, so perhaps, Stallone will use Gabe Walker to hunt the feral beast? For now that is mere speculation, so take it for what it is, an idea. One last thing Stallone did promise his fans regardless of plot with 'Rambo V' was blood! He said, "There will be blood." More news on 'Rambo V' and 'The Savage Hunt' as they develop....

What say you? Disappointed or excited for the Rambo plot shift? Strikeback...
