Hack/Slash Hires Scribe

A comic I have enjoyed for a variety of reasons is Hack/Slash. It is funny, sexy and best of all brutal. Like so many other comics out there, plans are in motion to bring the gritty comic to the big screen. Development on the "Hack/Slash" film has been slow coming, but this week news has broke of a new writer hired to pen the script. Find out who after the break...

Bloody Disgusting broke the story that The Grudge and The Grudge 2 writer Stephen Susco has been tapped to pen the latest script for a live-action film. Susco is a capable writer and should bring the right elements to the series, I just hope he has the ability to mix the right amount of humor and horror. It is unclear whether Susco will be adding to Justin Marks' previously written script or starting fresh.

"Hack/Slash" has Fredrik Bond (The Mood) attached to direct for Relativity who acquired the property from Rogue/Universal. the story follows Cassie Hack, a survivor of a slasher who has taken her survival skills and tough as nails attitude on the road to hunt down various other slasher killers. Think Zombieland meets any of the infamous slasher horrors over the years. Relativity still aims to shoot the picture next year.

I just have one request with this movie. Please do not ruin it by casting Megan Fox! You will destroy the character altogether! That is all. Stay tuned for more "Hack/Slash" news as it breaks...

What say you? Ever read Hack/Slash? Is Stephen Susco the right guy for the job? Strikeback...
