USA Today has our first official look at "Iron Man 2" with a brand new image featuring Tony Stark working in his lab. The photo is pretty cool and in the background you can clearly see Tony's 4 different Mark suits.
Favreau tells the paper that the sequel will take place 6 months after the events of the first film and will focus on "How many superheroes are open about their true identities?" He continued by saying, We wanted to play with that idea. But it obviously has consequences — in his relationships, on the team. There are a lot of areas we can explore."
Favreau also said that he doesn't like all of the attention and preferred when they were a dark horse. "I really enjoyed when we were a dark horse and no one knew much about us. ... I hope we can find that place again." That seems highly doubtful considering how big of a hit the first was and in all honestly, constantly tweeting updates and releasing the 1st official image a year before the film releases doesn't really create an image of a dark horse or any intentions to actually be one. Favreau loves the acclaim, he just knows the pressure is really on to deliver an equal if not greater film this time around. I for one have have faith he pull through just fine. "Iron Man 2" releases May 7th, 2010. More news as it develops...
What say you? Are you as excited for Iron Man 2? Will Favreau and comapny be able to pull off another amazing film? Strikeback...
