A Whole Lot of Fury & Jackson

Fanboys around the world can finally put away any worries for the future of Nick Fury in Marvel films. Sam Jackson has just finalized a 9 picture deal with Marvel Studios! Yes, that is not a typo, 9 films! THR reports today that the actor who just a few short weeks ago faced the same fate as Terrence Howard, has now signed on to a major multiple film deal.

We can expect to see Sam Jackson as Nick Fury in all of the forthcoming Marvel films including "Iron Man 2," "Thor," "Captain America," "The Avengers" and any of it's sequels, also currently in development a "S.H.I.E.L.D." movie.

This news is outstanding and really hightens the anticipation to all of the upcoming Marvel films. Jackson is perfect as Nick Fury and considering he was so widely accepted in the role, it would have been a very hard sell for Marvel with a new actor in the role. This news doubles to stipulate that outside of 5 films mentioned above we will still get 4 more Marvel films whether new stand alone films or sequels to the previously mentioned titles.
