"Tales of the Black Freighter" is a companion piece that is embedded in the Watchmen comic. Synder decided it would be wise to create a companion DVD that would tell the story within a story in a unquie way. Thus "Tales of the Black Freighter" will release March 24th two weeks after "Watchmen" hits cinemas. The animation looks outstanding throughout, gritty and impactful just like the story itself. Gerard Butler has voiced the cartoon dvd and it looks like it definately measures up to the story told throughout the Watchmen comic. Don't believe me. Check it out for yourself below...
