Johansson Could Replace Blunt

Scarlett Johansson is a good actress. I generally like most of what she has been in and she has even excelled in a few key roles, but the role of Natasha Romanoff in "Iron Man 2", should most definately not go to her! Why do I say that, because the perfect selection of Emily Blunt may not pan out, due to her possible shooting scheduling conflict with "Gulliver's Travels" and "Iron Man 2." EW is reporting that in the case negotiations cannot be reached between the two films' shooting schedules, Marvel and Jon Favreau have reached out to Scarlett Johansson to play the Black Widow. Worse yet, allegedly she also interested.

Johansson would be a terrible choice for the Russian superspy, dreadful! She is a huge name and brings alot of acclaim, but she is so large that she will take the viewer out of the film every time she is on screen. "Hey look, there's Scarlett Johansson," instead of focusing on the character. She also looks nothing of the character and she doesn't match Natasha's persona in any way. Continuing, Johansson isn't remotely athletic, which is pretty important to the role. Natasha Romanoff is a Russian superspy and time after time completes astonishing feats thought impossible. Johansson would not or could not, even with the help of movie magic, make the viewer believe she can do anything super. Lastly, does anybody remember the last superhero flick she was in? Yeah, that piece of shit! Need I say more?

The glimmer of hope in this story is that for all intents and purposes, Emily Blunt still has the role of the Black Widow in the Jon Favreau film. "Iron Man 2" does not have a definitive shooting date scheduled because a shooting script isn't even completed. It would seem that a comprise should be able to be met with "Iron Man 2" having a later shooting schedule than "Gulliver's Travels," due the unfinished shooting script.

What say you? Would you mind the deep-voiced Johansson in Iron Man 2 as Black Widow? Strikeback...
