IFC films usually has a pretty keen eye for good cinema and with their latest upcoming title, it appears nothing has changed. Written and directed by Anna Melikyan, "Mermaid" or it's rusian title "Rusalka" follows a eccentric girl who believes she has the power to make wishes come true. The romatic comedy from Russia won best director at the 2008 Sundance Film festival and is set for a limited release next week, February 18th.
