Fox Hires Writer for Hitman 2

IESB is reporting that 20th Century Fox has just landed the talented scribe Kyle Ward to pen a sequel to Hitman. The widely popular 2007 video game adaptation has grossed over $100 million and will be once again produced by Adrian Askarieh, Daniel Alter and Chuck Gordon. The original film is one of the better video game adapted films and was for the most part praised by fans, so the announcement isn't too big of a surprise.

If you do not know who Kyle Ward is, he is an very hot writer around Hollywood these days and just finished up "Kane and Lynch" for Lionsgate with Bruce Willis set to star. Ward has also recently penned "Fiasco Heights" for Universal. Eventhough Ward is considered a great writer, it is kinda hard to get super excited when none of his work has been seen or more importantly, been sucessfull at the box office. That said, the biggest question with the proposed sequel is whether both Timothy Olyphant and Olga Kurylenko will return. Olyphant seems like a must have for the sequel, while Kurylenko could very easily be replaced with another piece of tail.

What say you? Are you excited for a Hitman sequel? Where would you like to see the character go? Strikeback...
