Amazing 'Wonderland' Images

Some absolutely breathtaking images from Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" have surfaced over the weekend via USA Today, however I have them here for you below. The brand new images are absolutely amazing and definately allow the on-looker to know they are dealing with a Tim Burton film. I have been very skeptical of this film however after seeing these new images I am sold that Burton's Alice adventure is gonna be mind boggling!

USA Today reveals that "Alice in Wonderland" finished shooting back in December however it still will not release untill March 5th, 2010. After 40 days of shooting live-action the film has moved to a merge stage where the live-action footage will be merged with CGI animation and later converted to 3D. The news outlet also revealed that Burton's Alice adaptation will be something of a sequel instead of just a re-telling of the classic Lewis Carroll novel. "Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn't remember."

The released images gives us a eye-popping look at just how crazy Burton has invisioned his Wonderland. The images feature a look at The Mad Hatter played by Johnny Depp, Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum played by Matt Lucas, Alice played by Mia Wasikowska, the White Queen played by Anne Hathaway and the Red Queen played by Burton's wife Helena Bonham Carter. There are also three detailed images of Alice throughout Wonderland including a white rabbit we all know, some very talkitive flowers and two brothers who are quite odd. Checkout all of the wonderful pictures below. More news to follow on "Alice in Wonderland" as it develops...
