Fanboys at Comic Con!!

Un-Edited Fanboys to screen at Comic Con Thursday!

Fanboys was originally suppose to release last summer in 2007! It follows five friends who try and break into skywalker ranch to steal a copy of The Phantom Menace before it releases! What has put this film into utter-limbo, is the fact, one of the friends is dying of cancer. The Weinstein Company after test-screenings, felt the film needed to lose the cancer angle, to have a more overall happy ending. Fans of Star Wars and Fanboys alike have been more than vocal that they want to see the film intact, and for now the Weinstein Co. has budged and will screen the un-edited version this Thursday at Comic Con following the 7th Annual Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge Awards, held on Thursday at 8:30 in Ballroom 20 of the San Diego Convention Center!!

Weinstein's still paln on releasing the edited version of Fanboys, but a release date is yet to be set. The Weinstein's have also tried to apease the fans by saying that the un-edited version will be on the "special edition dvd" when it releases.

So if you want a chance to see Fanboys un-edited and have already purchased tickets to Comic Con (everyday is sold out), your in luck! Fanboys will screen in Ballroom 20 following the 7th Annual Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge Awards Thursday the 24th! I will be there, hope you are too!
