Ritchie Finds Law in Watson!!

Variety is reporting that none other than Jude Law is in final negotiations to plays Dr. Watson in Guy Ritchie's adaptation of Sherlock Holmes. Jude Law would clearly be playing second fiddle to Robert Downey Jr in the feature, but I think it is a perfect match! Robert Downey Jr or Jude Law aren't short on wit and tenacity and the two should play very well off eachother. The film will follow Holmes and Watson that incorporate the classic tales of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and the comic books and is being produced by Warner Brothers and Village Roadshow Pictures. production is set to begin in late fall however Ritchie is still casting some very important roles including the villain, Blackwood. It has been heavily rumored that Russel Crowe is up for this role, however Crowe has yet to respond.
