Frank Miller's first stint at directing is coming at us quickly and I got two new one-sheet's for "The Spirit" for you to gander at. It is very debatable how good or how much it will suck, but one thing is for sure Frank Miller is an icon in the comic world and that alone should put your butt in the seat and handing over your hard earned green! If that doesn't do it for you, at least you have Eva Mendes, Scarlett Johansson, Jaime King, Paz Vega and Sarah Paulson to stare at (those five women are stunning and can usually put on a great performance). The film does look overly stylized, like Miller took what he learned in "Sin City" and just went ape-shit with it, but for all the joy he has brought me over the years, I will definately be ready to see The Spirit.
The two new One-Sheets feature the Spirit and the Octopus in what looks like a showdown. The interesting angle to the one-sheets is each one is from the other's viewpoint and has a line of dialogue from the character. So you see Octopus's point of view looking towards the Spirit saying, "I'm gonna kill you all kinds of dead" and the opposite with the Spirit's viewpoint at Octopus saying, "Face my power." A pretty cool advertisement, let's hope the poster's live up to the film! From the footage I saw at Comic-Con, I am very skeptical, but remain optomistic and will still watch regardless of the reviews. Anywyas, check out the one-sheets below....
