The imaginative director Terry Gilliam has decided to give a closer look into his newest feature film "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" which looks to bring back the creative style we grew to love in his earlier years. In the exclusive look, Gilliam introduces us to the world of Doctor Parnassus by showing us some of the set designs and production artwork that helped to create the vision of the film. Gilliam says that he feels Parnassus comes back to his world of fantasy with films like Time Bandits, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen and Brazil. Which I must say are three of my all time favorite movies along with The Fisher King, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and any of his Monty Python stuff. The video is pretty damn cool and really builds up my anticipation of the movie!
"The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" stars Heath Ledger as Doctor Parnassus in his final performance, who was filming during his untimely death, and has been replaced by a compilation of stars Johnny Depp, Collin Farrell and Jude Law. The film is slated to release in 2009 and also stars Tom Waits, Christopher Plummer, Lily Cole and Verne Troyer. Checkout the teaser/introduction video below...
How cool does this film look? I can't fucking wait! What are your thoughts on The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus? Strikeback...
