Spouses for Couples Retreat Casted!

THR is reporting that the new re-teaming of Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau comedy called "Couples Retreat" has found its wives. Malin Akerman, Kristin Davis and Kristen Bell have been casted as the spouses to Vince Vaughn, Jon Favreau and Jason Bateman respectively. The film was penned by Favreau and will be directed by Peter Billingsley for Universal.

The film follows four couples who go on a tropical island vacation. One of the couples plans the vacation as a way to work on their marriage, the other three couples had no clue the vacation was a couples therapy retreat and are forced to endure their time in counciling.

No casting has been reported for the final couple, Faizon Love's better half has yet to be chosen. Let's just hope it is not Mo'Nique! The film will shoot in Bora Bora and Los Angeles, while Scott Stuber is producing.

This film has a great cast to start and Vaughn and Favreau back together is always great, so my hype for this project is very high. Vaughn and Favreau nailed the bitter side of relationships in Swingers and The Break-Up, so Couples Retreat should be a great treat! More to come as news becomes available....
