Rockwell Confirms Iron Man 2!!

Sam Rockwell is one of my favorite actors working and is just a sheer pleasure to watch on screen, no matter what he is in. Rockwell who tends to be a indie film actor, has been rumored to have accepted a rival role to Tony Stark in the sequel to Iron Man. yhe actor spoke with MTV and the talented actor confirms that he is indeed in "Iron Man 2" and will be playing Justin Hammer.

Rockwell who was atr one time also considered for the role of Tony stark, spoke about signing on to star in the sequel. He told MTV, “They were like, we don’t have a script but this is the deal and this is the character.” Rockwell, who generally is cautious about the projects he takes on added that he was a fan of the first film. “I was a fan of the movie,” he explained. Rockwell also confirmed his role as Justin Hammer. “Yeah, he’s a rival,” Rockwell nodded. Rockwell did not reveal anything else other than the film will begin shooting in Spring. “Mid-April maybe,” he estimates. “In L.A., I think.”

Here's a bit of a rundown on Hammer's history. Justin Hammer capitalizes when Stark Industries stops selling and designing weaponry with his comapny Hammer Industries. Justin Hammer is ruthless in his business tactics and quickly becomes the world's leading arms dealer. Hammer Industries finances many of the villains, including Whiplash (believed to be the villain Mickey Rourke is in talks to play), that Tony Stark aka Iron Man desperately tries to stop. Hammer infact designed a weapon that can disarm or override Iron Man's suit, which becomes very important to Hammer narrowly escaping from Iron Man.
