"The Informers" finally releases May 1st! The film, which was scheduled to release last year, somehow unfortunately kept finding itself bumped. Luckily, writer Bret Easton Ellis's story is going to see a theatrical release. Ellis who also wrote "American Psycho" and "The Rules of Attraction," is an outstanding author, so its easy to say that at least the writing will be top-notch. His book which was published in 1995 followed a collection of loosely connected short stories capturing a week in L.A. in 1983, featuring movie executives, rock stars, a vampire and other morally challenged characters in adventures laced with sex, drugs and violence. Ellis adapted his own novel for the film and it looks to have paid off in a big way! The film stars Mickey Rourke, Billy Bob Thorton, Kim Basinger, Winona Ryder, Jon Foster, Amber Heard and Brad Renfero in his final performance before his untimely death. "The Informers" directed by Gregor Jordan (Ned Kelly and Buffalo Soldiers) definately doesn't look to hold back in any way and this new Red Band trailer gives the viewer a small taste of what to expect. Scroll down to see the sultry trailer...
What say you? Does "The Informers" look like a movie you will seek out? Are you ready for a healthy does of Rourke now that "The Wrestler" ressurected him? Strikeback...
