Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds" has been filming since mid October and the director has finally locked in a release date for the WWII story. The film will hit theaters August 21st! Looks like The Weinstein Company and QT are looking at Inglourious Basterds as a Summer Blockbuster with the set date.
Tarantino planned on showcasing Inglourious Basterds at Cannes this year and as long as he keeps his schedule, he should have an early cut available. This would give QT a chance for feedback and some possible fine tuning to the film.
What say you? Is Inglourious Basterds a Summer Blockbuster? Will Inglourious Basterds be a big success or more like Grindhouse, a flop at the box office? Strikeback...

This isn't a Summer Blockbuster by any means...
