Autobot Sideswipe Revealed!

Remeber this picture when it popped up back in August of 08' seen on the "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" set? Well, speculation swirled of just who the shiny silver corvette would be, would he be an Autobot or a Decepticon? Well all that speculation can cease because typical with toy fair's as of late, the Corvette has finally been revealed in his toy form and he is Sideswipe!

For longtime Transformers fans, you instantly know who I am talking about. For the others, here's a rundown for you. Sideswipe was one of the original Autobots that crash landed on Earth along with Optimus Prime. In the original cartoon series and comics, Sideswipe was a Lamborghini. Sideswipe had a brother, Sunstreaker who was also a Lamborghini. Obvisouly, Michael Bay and Co. have updated the look and car choice of Sideswipe, let's hope the rest stays the same! Sideswipe was a loyal warrior for Optimus Prime and a real badass! I always remember Sideswipe saying, "I don't break rules, I just bend them - a lot." Sideswipe even played a part in discovering the Dinobots! Could this be a potenial easter egg for Transformers 3?
