WB Debating 3D for 'Titans'

To 3D or not to 3D, that is the question for Warner Brothers and their upcoming action fantasy "Clash of the Titans." One of the biggest trends in Hollywood right now is 3D and after James Cameron's Avatar changed the game of potential, it is no surprise that WB are toying with the idea of a 3D conversion for 'Titans.' Read the full breakdown after the break...

This week Warner Brothers is doing a trial run of 3D compositing to selected scenes in director Luis Leterrier's "Clash of the Titans" to decide if they want to convert the entire film. The studio must make a decision within 10 days in order to keep its slated release date of March 26th, 2010.

While the thought of seeing Pegasus and Perseus (Sam Worthington) flying around the Kraken (highlighted in the end of the most recent trailer) in 3D sounds exciting, WB is better off leaving "Clash of the Titans" in the format it was filmed. If they wanted a 3D movie, then they should have filmed it accordingly. All of the best 3D films that have released recently were conceived and filmed utilizing 3D technology. The 2D or traditional films that were converted after production have seemed far inferior in comparison.

Stay tuned as news surrounding whether "Clash of the Titans" will be 3D or not is forth coming very shortly.
