Warner Brothers are quickly working towards filling out the cast to their big budget "The Green Lantern" film and this week news broke surrounding one of the possible villains in the film. Take a look at the full details after the break...
WB is in final negotiations to land actor Peter Sarsgaard to play Dr. Hector Hammond in the Martin Campbell directed "The Green Lantern." Dr. Hector Hammond is one of few super villains who does not use an alias only going by Hammond. Hammond's origins have been re-tooled in the DC history, but in the script penned by Greg Berlanti, Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim, Hammond is a son of a senator who becomes infused with psychic powers when he discovers a meteor. Hammond is determined to prove his worth to his father and in doing so becomes over run by his newly gained super powers.
Peter Sarsgaard will battle Ryan Reynolds who has been cast as Hal Jordan aka The Green Lantern. Sarsgaard also joins Blake Lively who will play Jordan's love interest Carol Ferris.
