The next Saturday Night Live sketch to make the transition into a feature length film is "MacGruber." Today the Red band trailer hit the net and I have it for you below. Fans of the sketch are not to be disappointed, but I'm not so sure how well this will play with general audiences. Take a look for yourself after the break...
When I first heard "MacGruber" was being made into a feature film I was pretty skeptical. It is one of my favorites sketch on SNL recently, but it is such a short bit, I wasn't sure how it would translate. After watching the trailer, I can't wait! The film, much to the joke of the sketch, looks to play like an episode of MacGyver and should be a barrel of laughs. Jorma Taccone, who played Adam Samberg's brother in Hot Rod, is directing. Taccone has wote and directed for SNL, but this will be his first feature length film. "MacGruber" blasts into theaters April 23rd. Stay tuned for more on "MacGruber" as it breaks...
