Trailer: The Decent 2

There are certain films that you would instantly say a sequel is un-needed or pointless and Neil Marshall's 2006 film The Decent is one of them. The original film was a blast! It was suspenseful, intriguing, violent and most of all one helluva good time. So, when news came that a sequel was in the works, I of course used every expletive in the book and damned the sequel to failure. I have since calmed down and had almost forgotten about the sequel altogether. A few days ago however, I saw the first trailer for the sequel posted online. Initially I was very hesitant to watch, but after I did, I was happily surprised!

"The Decent 2" looks like it could be a worthy sequel to an amazing original! Jon Harris directs the sequel and takes the U.S. version of the story in a believable fashion that see's Sarah (Shauna Macdonald) forced to show the authorities just why she is covered in her friend’s blood after escaping a cave filled with underground mutants. "The Decent 2" does not have a U.S. release date set, but is slated to release in Belgium on June 17th. Checkout the trailer below...

What say you? Does The Decent 2 look to be a worthy sequel? Have you seen the original in both U.S. and U.K. cuts? Strikeback...

DUDE!!! this actually looks good. nice twist on things to get them back in the tunnel. so the fact that Juno is still alive leads me to believe this is just days after she escapes the caves in the first?
