With "Fast & Furious" closing in a $150 million worldwide it is not a surprise that Universal did not intend for the fourth film to be the last in the franchise. E! has confirmed that Universal is setting up a fifth film and both Vin Diesel and Paul Walker will return.
Paul Walker while on Valentine in the Morning radio show told the host a bit about the fifth film. The Fast & Furious star had said when he signed on to the fourth film, he did not think their would be a fifth film. He thought that the last film would be the end to the franchise. He told Valentine, "This was supposed to be it. There wasn’t supposed to be the open-ended closing like there was. When I first read the screenplay, I was like, ‘Man, look what they’re doing.’" Walker continued to explain after the success of the fourth film and the way the ending was left, he and Diesel will definately be returning. "But without question, with the way things opened up, Vin and I will be coming back, we’re making a fifth one, and we’re going to Brazil," Paul Walker said.
"Fast & Furious" for what it was, was an absolute blast. It was comparable to the first film in quality and definately surpassed the previous two installments. So, it goes without saying consider my ticket already purchased for Fast & the Furious: Rio De Janeiro.
What say you? Did you like "Fast & Furious?" Will you see another one with Paul Walker and Vin Diesel returning? Strikeback...
