Trailer 2: G.I. Joe

Despite all of the negative press that has been circling Stephen Sommers "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" relasing August 7th, I am holding out hope that I will at the very least be able to just enjoy it. This week a new trailer of the film has been released and I have it here for you below. The newest trailer does provide a bit of optimism that "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" wont be complete dribble.

It should be noted that when Stephen Sommers signed on as director, did anyone really expect the best possible G.I. Joe movie? Were talking about a director who has given us nothing but popcorn action films that thrive on cheap thrills and jokes. It is not like Paramount hired Christopher Nolan, Bryan Singer or Sam Raimi. I intend to watch "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" as a light-hearted action film and I will desperately try to not let this film ruin my love of G.I. Joe. I anticipate that from all of the leaked photos, they have indeed royally screwed up Cobra Commander, however at least Joseph Gordon-Levitt is playing him. Anyways, checkout the trailer below...
