Poster 3 & Clue: Iron Man 2

A brand new poster for "Iron Man 2" has hit the net this week and I got here for you below. The latest poster gives us another look at the villain Whiplash. Also released this week is a clue to "Iron Man 2", which was released by Paramount Pictures. A clue to what remains to be seen. Take a look at both after the break...

The released Whiplash poster is pretty cool, but it doesn't give us any indicator as to whether this is the final look of Whiplash or not. I for one, know that this won't be his final suit and we can expect to see a final suit revealed in the movie when it releases May 7th, 2010.

On to something a bit more intriguing. Paramount Pictures released a new image that is labeled as a "clue." A clue to what is not revealed, but that is what makes it so much fun. One thing to note on the released clue, is the the word "Secret" highlighted. Take a look at the new images below.

Some have questioned, exactly who is pictures on the right of the released image. Some suggested it to be Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, meaning a possible return of the Hulk. But it is very clear (in full resolution) that it is Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. One thing that I did notice is the word "Secret" is highlighted, which reminded me of the Whiplash poster.

In the Whiplash poster there is another word highlighted in the same color scheme. The word is "Mind." See for yourself above in the Whiplash poster. Put these words together and you have Secret Mind or Mind Secret. With these two words highlighted in a green hue and the words Secret Mind, only one character comes to mind for me. Mandarin.

In no way, I am saying that this clue(s) leads to one of Iron Man's biggest foes Mandarin, but its a thought. He was already eluded to in the first Iron Man with the terrorists group name being The Ten Rings. What I can confidently say is, it's the beginning of marketing for a movie that already has its audience. Similar to The Dark Knight, we can hope for Paramount and Marvel to tease and tantalize fans while they wait for May 7th, 2010 to arrive.
