Coen's Find 'Grit' Starlet

Since last September we have known the Coen brothers next film would be a remake of "True Grit" starring Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Josh Brolin. Universal Revising Cobain Biopic

Back in 2007 Universal optioned a biopic based on the life of grunge rock icon Kurt Cobain. The film is based off the 2001 biography, Heavier Than Heaven: A Biography of Kurt Cobain written by Charles R. Cross. Dune Adds New Scribe

Last month "From paris with Love" and Taken director Pierre Morel was hired by Paramount to tackle a re-boot to the popular Frank Herbert novel "Dune." Morel went on record that he wanted to make a more faithful adaptation of Herbert's work compared to David Lynch's 1984 version. In line with Morel's earlier statement, Paramount has hired Chase Palmer to inject the director's ideas into the pre-existing script penned by Josh Zetumer. For more details...

Smith Shopping Hit Somebody

Kevin Smith has longed to make a film he feels extremely confident about since his 1997 acclaimed film Chasing Amy.
