Trailer: The Loved Ones

The torture horror movement is getting a incy wincy bit long in the tooth, but "The Loved Ones" looks too good not to share with you. The Australian horror written and directed by Sean Byrne released over a year ago in Australia, but it is finally getting a release here in the States outside of Film Festivals. I don't know about you, but watching the trailer I quickly get a feeling of Pretty in Pink meets Hostel, which is an odd mash-up but nonetheless engaging. The only problem I have is the trailer might be giving away too much of the movie. Watched enough times, it could certainly end up spoiling a few major plot points in film that ought to strive for terror and fear of unknown. Regardless, I'm hoping for good things from "The Loved Ones" which opens September 10th in limited release.
