Cogan's Trade" however the Weinstein's topped the other suitors. They purchased U.S. distributing rights for $20 million and plan to release the film in the first quarter of 2012. I am always weary when the Weinsteins get ahold of a property I'm excited for. I worry it will end up being dumped much like
The Road was. A film TWC promised would grow into a wide release instead to end up being swept under a rug and having only a 396 theater release being its widest. The Weinstein Company stipulates again that they intend to have a wide release of 'Trade,' I just hope they follow suit.
