Gift Delivers Logan's Run

Earlier this year a powerful short titled The Gift made rounds through the net. The scifi short was directed by Carl Rinsch and promoted a new line of Philips televisions. Outside of the promotion, the short definitely got a few executives attention and as a result, Carl Rinsch is now in final talks to helm a remake of the 70's utopian scifi "Logan's Run" for Warner Brothers. Revenant Reborn Under Hillcoat

In Hollywood, plenty of movies you would think are a no brainer to get made don't. Why, is not always an easy answer. Often the studio is afraid the concept won't sell. Other times the budget is too high, but regardless of the reasons why, they never happen. One film that seemed like it would never happen, just may have found the light of day. Read the full report after the jump....

Men in Black III Updates

For quite sometime now we've heard rumblings of a third Men in Black movie. It sorta always seemed like a long shot, but one I hoped would happen. A movie that Sony would probably pass on because of the heavy price tag to get star Will Smith back in the black and white suit. Sony/Columbia has in fact got the Men in Black ball moving and the second sequel is happening and set for a release in 2012. Take a look below for the full rundown on "Men in...

Set Still: Cowboys & Indians

This is essentially non-news, but I'm so excited for this film I just had to post this brand new tease from director Jon Favreau. "Cowboys and Aliens" is gearing up to begin production and Fav's gave his followers on Twitter a small tease. I've been following the progression on this movie since we first heard about it last year, but this first image is super exciting even for being a somewhat blurry image. More Giant Robots Coming

When I say more Giant Robots are coming, I am certainly not talking about the next Transformers movie, oh no. Instead I am talking about the super mecha robot known as Gaiking. A iconic anime series from the 1970's that was huge in Japan and to a lesser extent here in the U.S. At this point, you are either geeking out about the prospect of a Gaiking movie or scratching your head saying what is Gaiking. About a month ago, news broke over AICN that...

Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man is back. In this second adventure, the now outed super hero faces new pressures from the United States Senate along with the Military to give up his weapon's designs. Stark is also opposed by a rival Industrialist who is very eager to steal the very same designs. All of Stark's new responsibilities become widely scrutinized after a Russian scientist invents and uses the same technology created by Stark for ill will. Iron...

Judge Dredd Gets a Financier

For over a year now we've known that a new "Judge Dredd" movie is in the works. How likely it is that it would actually get made seemed very much up in the air. Today's news however, changes all that. Word from Cannes has it that Andrew Macdonald’s DNA Films has struck a deal with Reliance Big Entertainment and IM Global to finance the 3D comic adaptation for a $50 million price tag. That's not all, the scoop also tells us a new director is...

'Musketeers' Cast Heating Up

Paul W.S. Anderson is one of those directors that I rarely get excited about his projects. Let's be honest, most of the stuff he's done or been involved in has been junk. Sure, he takes on some cool properties that I dearly enjoy, however the end result has never been satisfactory. Simply everything he's directed after his first two features has been a major letdown and there's even room for debate on those first two films. Anyways, enough bad mouthing,...

Poster & Trailer: Splice

Last week a new trailer hit for "Splice" and this week a brand new teaser poster has also popped up online. Both the trailer and the poster do their best in keeping my expectations high for this Scifi/Horror directed by Vincenzo Natali. I've heard some mixed things about the film since it debuted at Sundance, but that has no bearing on how excited I am for this flick. See the latest trailer and poster for yourself after the break....

Two brand new posters for M. Night Shymalan's "The Last Airbender" hit the net today and I've got them here for you below. Fox Developing Incognito

Late last month news broke that 20th Century Fox scooped up the rights to Ed Brubaker's noir pulp comic "Incognito." I have yet to read the comic, but find myself very intrigued to see how this project develops over at Fox. Read the full scoop after the jump....

Rockwell Fights 'Aliens'

Every once in a while a casting comes along that really gets me excited and today is one of those days. Well maybe not today, but two days ago when news broke that Sam Rockwell is joining the cast of "Cowboys and Aliens." The cast for the Dreamworks comic book adaptation being directed by Jon Favreau is already good, but with Rockwell on board, I am seriously amped to see this action in theaters. Check out the full scoop on Rockwell joining "Cowboys...

Dark Crystal is in Good Hands

Yesterday news broke that the long talked of sequel to the Dark Crystal is moving forward. Plenty of us grew up on the fantastic Jim Henson live action fantasy adventure and the thought of a sequel may seem a bit alarming, but I'm here to tell you things may not be so bad after all. Trailer: Machete

First off, Happy Cinco de Mayo. Secondly, I've got a badass trailer for you to gander at! Our first look at "Machete" has hit the net and believe me, it was worth the wait. Perhaps you are saying right now, what is Machete? And my answer would be a faux movie trailer that actually ended up becoming a feature length film.
