Review - Splice

Two up and coming genetic scientists have been working side by side for a major agriculture corporation designing a much needed protein. Their research has been primarily successful through splicing different animal genes, but when one of them decides to include human DNA into the experiment, their careers and ethics are put to the test by the creation of a new organism. As the creature begins to grow it develops a bond with both scientists, a bond that questions both the ethical and scientific boundaries of genetic splicing but also has some horrific ramifications.

Poster & Trailer: Splice

Last week a new trailer hit for "Splice" and this week a brand new teaser poster has also popped up online. Both the trailer and the poster do their best in keeping my expectations high for this Scifi/Horror directed by Vincenzo Natali. I've heard some mixed things about the film since it debuted at Sundance, but that has no bearing on how excited I am for this flick. Trailer: Splice

Our first theatrical trailer for "Splice" has hit the net and I have it below for your viewing pleasure. I heard good things about this scifi horror from this year's Sundance Film Festival and from the looks of this trailer, the word was right! WB Sets Splice for Release

If the above image alone doesn't get you intrigued for the latest executive produced Guillermo del Toro film, then maybe your not as big of a SciFi-Horror fan as you thought. "Splice" is directed by Vincenzo Natali and was highly praised at this year's Sundance Film Festival. So much so, Warner Brothers have scooped up the distribution rights and are planning a June 4th release of the SciFi Horror.
