Our very first trailer for Edgar Wright's "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" has hit the net today and I have it here for you below. As you may or may not have known, Scott Pilgrim is adapted off of a graphic novel series of the same name. The title character Scott Pilgrim falls for a girl named Ramona and must defeat her 7 evil exes in order to keep their relationship growing. See the trailer for yourself after the break...
I really like the look to "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" but I wonder what the overall reaction to it will be. The film has certainly taken a very literal approach to the comic and all of it's design. A lot of what people complained about in the 2008 adaptation of Speed Racer might fall under the same scrutiny here in 'Scott Pilgrim.' Then again, with director Edgar Wright behind the camera and well put together cast, the film has the potential to succeed in a big way.
My reaction to the teaser trailer isn't as mind blowing as I expected, but I am still very much excited to see this film once it hits theaters August 13th. Below I have a few HD screen captures from the teaser. Enjoy.
