Despite coming in 3rd at the box office this last weekend, the Weinstein Co. is planning a third film to the series by next year!
"Halloween II" which only made $16 million over the weekend, was enough for the Weinstein's to green light a third film which is being developed for 3D. It is ironic that the Weinstein's will seek to use the very element that out did them at the box office last weekend, but I am sure when

Last night Dread Central confirmed that My Bloody Valentine 3-D director Patrick Lussier will indeed direct the next installment of Halloween for the Weinstein Co. and Dimension Films. "Halloween 3-D" will begin production this November and plans to release late summer 2010. Read more below...
