Help Fund 'Before the Mask'

One of my favorite horror movies of the last couple years is "Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon." A film that came and went with not many people getting a chance to know its glory. It is a movie that I constantly show friends of mine who've never seen. Its a film that is sharp as a tack and hosts an enormous amount of wit horrorphiles are sure to fall head over heels for. Well now that I've reminded you of the original film, the people behind the original are hoping to get a prequel-sequel-remake made and they are reaching out to us the fans and people that supported the first movie to get it done. This week on Facebook Scott Glosserman director/producer of the original "Behind the Mask" started up a crowd sourcing support page in where you can pledge your hard earned cash to help get "Before the Mask: The Return of Leslie Vernon" into production. The plan is to generate $1 million to get the film in production. The B4TM grassroots effort is not just taking your money either. The production team has generated merchandise that you can pre-order for the prequel-sequel-remake including the DVD and a poster. The more you spend the more you get. For instance spend $34 and you'll get the DVD and the poster, spend $60 and you get a signed poster by Leslie Vernon himself Nathan Baesel. The catch to this pre-order is if the team doesn't reach its goal, you won't be charged. So this is a win win. Fans of the original can pledge their support to a sequel they want to see plus you be getting back the product you paid for from the filmmakers themselves and not some distributing company.
